Giraffe Class – Ages 1 to 2
Our Giraffe Class at Noddy Nursery School Alberton is designed for toddlers aged 1–2, providing a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment where children can explore, play, and develop essential early skills. Every activity is carefully planned to support sensory, motor, language, cognitive, and social-emotional development.
Sensory Play:
Toddlers engage with materials like playdough, water, sand, and various textured objects. These activities stimulate the senses, encourage exploration, and promote learning through discovery, helping young children understand the world around them.
Fine Motor Skills:
Activities such as scribbling with large crayons, manipulating toys with buttons, switches, and knobs help toddlers develop hand-eye coordination and small muscle strength. These skills lay the foundation for future tasks like self-care and early writing.
Gross Motor Skills:
Outdoor play encourages toddlers to walk, run, jump, and climb on soft structures. These large muscle movements help children develop balance, coordination, and overall physical confidence in a fun, safe setting.
Language Development:
Toddlers are introduced to early communication through reading books, naming objects, following simple instructions, and singing songs. Activities with repetitive words and rhymes help children start using single words to express needs, building their early vocabulary and listening skills.
