Elephant Class – Ages 3 to 4

Our Elephant Class at Noddy Nursery School Alberton provides children aged 3–4 with a rich, engaging environment that encourages language, social-emotional, cognitive, fine and gross motor, and self-care development. Every activity is designed to help children explore, learn, and grow at their own pace while having fun in a safe and nurturing setting.

Language Development:
Children expand their vocabulary and begin using more complex sentence structures. They ask questions like “why?” to explore the world around them, follow simple three-step instructions, and tell short stories. Activities such as group storytelling, interactive reading, songs, and rhymes with repeated patterns help children strengthen early communication, listening, and literacy skills.

Social & Emotional Development:
Children start forming meaningful friendships and learn to negotiate, share, and play cooperatively. Group activities, imaginative play, and guided social interactions help children understand and manage their emotions. They build confidence in social settings and develop empathy, patience, and problem-solving skills.

Fine Motor Skills:
Children refine their hand-eye coordination and small muscle control through drawing, cutting with scissors, manipulating beads, and other creative activities. These  exercises are essential for writing readiness and self-care tasks

Gross Motor Skills:
Running, jumping, climbing, skipping, and ball games support large muscle development, balance, coordination, and overall physical confidence. Outdoor play encourages children to explore their environment safely while developing agility and endurance.

Cognitive Skills:
Children develop early math and problem-solving skills through counting, recognizing numbers, identifying shapes and colors, and following simple rules in games. Activities like building with blocks, sorting objects, and imaginative play stimulate curiosity, reasoning, and logical thinking.

Self-Care Skills:
Children practice independent dressing, toilet routines, and other personal responsibilities. These activities foster confidence, independence, and a sense of achievement.

Our Approach:
Our teachers provide support and guidance while allowing children to explore independently, creating a balance of structured and self-directed learning. Parents are encouraged to participate in their child’s journey, receive updates on progress, and celebrate milestones together.

At Noddy Nursery School Alberton, the Elephant Class blends play, exploration, creative activities, and outdoor learning to nurture confident, curious, and capable children, preparing them for the next stage of early education.
